2.0 These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website www.pumpsandpressure.co.uk and your relationship with JWD the website operator.
3.0 IMPORTANT. The purpose of this website is to retail commercial products worldwide for Industry and Business Customers.
3.1 Due to the nature of the products on offer at Pumps & Pressure, it is unlikely that these products will be of interest to the general public. Therefore pumpsandpressure.co.uk is a Business To Business website and consequently does not abide in full with the Sale Of Goods Act 1979 or distance selling regulations to business customers. This especially applies to the return of non-faulty goods.
3.2 If you are purchasing commercial products from this website for your own usage, it will be deemed that the intended usage is for business or commercial purposes, whether or not this is the intended purpose.
3.3 For none commercial goods sold to an individual and delivered to a residential address, we will comply with The Distance Selling Regulations which gives consumers extra protection for domestic buyers only, relating to buying online and the right to cancel. SEE 12.0 Below
4.0 We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be posted on this Site. The change of Terms and Conditions shall not affect the existing Terms and Conditions accepted by you upon making a purchase using the Site.
5.0 It is your responsibility to ensure that the correct goods and correct model are ordered for your purpose. We cannot be held responsible if your chosen product is not suitable for the intended purpose.
Remember once a product is used, it cannot be re-sold as new and therefore, cannot be accepted back for a refund. Goods imported on request cannot be returned for refund in any circumstances unless faulty. ( See Deliveries & Returns Section )
6.0 Most products carry a 12 month Back To Base Guarantee against manufacturing defects unless stated otherwise. The guarantee does not cover parts such as seals, ball bearings, swivels / rotary unions, etc that are subject to normal wear and tear. Pressure washer accessories such as HP Guns, lances, rotating nozzles, have a 30 day warranty since they can be damaged when in use. Hoses do not have any warranty after first use, since they can be easily damaged whilst moving across the ground. The guarantee shall become void if any repair is attempted by the purchaser or any third party. This applies to any product that has been opened or dismantled by the user or unauthorised person. Items used for hire or loan are not guaranteed.
Where a product fails and the reason for failure cannot be agreed, the product will be returned to the evaluation centre for inspection, where a decision will be taken. In all cases, the manufacturer’s decision is final.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer for goods requiring repair under the manufacturer’s warranty. Exported items require all shipping charges to be paid by the customer including Forward & Return costs.
7.0 As mentioned above, this site is a business to business eCommerce website therefore refunds would not normally be given.
If it was decided that a refund was appropriate, a 20% re-stocking fee would be charged and deducted from the refund value. All shipping fee’s, including shipping to return the item to the appropriate distribution centre would not be eligible for refund.
Special Order Items:
Items specifically imported or products that are assembled on behalf of a customer, cannot be cancelled or changed once the order has been processed and the delivery date has been agreed. With imported goods, shipping times can vary due to production schedules and shipping delays, therefore the actual delivery date can change. If the delivery date exceeds more than 4 weeks from the advised expected delivery date, you will have the option to cancel the order if the goods have not been dispatched by the manufacturer. Any item that is cut to length or manufactured specifically, such motor pump assemblies, hoses, gun lance assemblies etc, cannot be returned or exchanged if purchased in error. If you are in any doubt regarding the connection size, please ask for assistance before ordering.
8.0 Please note that the images we use in this site are representations only, and should not be taken to be 100% accurate. Manufacturers are constantly changing product design and although we do use the latest images available, there could be slight differences to what we advertise. All images are the property of pumpsandpressure.co.uk and should not be used without permission.
9.0 We accept your order at the point of dispatch or at the time of manufacturing for products not in stock. It is only at this point that a contract of sale shall exist between us and you.
10.0 Our prices are stated in Pounds Sterling as default but other currencies can be selected on the homepage. Value Added Tax (“VAT”) will be added on checkout.
10.1 We will try to ensure that all prices on pumpsandpressure.co.uk are accurate. If any pricing errors come to our attention, by whatever means, we will take reasonable steps to inform you and we will give you the option to reconfirm the order at the corrected price or cancel it completely. If we cannot contact you, the order will be treated as cancelled. If the order is cancelled, for whatever reason, a full refund will be made.
11.0 Payment can be made by any method specified in the Payment section as shown on the website. Payment details through the website are fully encrypted by Sagepay or Paypal. We also accept card payment by phone or direct bank transfer payment. We also accept purchase orders from Government or blue chip companies on a 30 day payment term.
12..0 Consumer Purchasers. ( Non business or commercial )
All consumer customers have the right to cancel their orders under Distance Selling Regulations which gives consumers extra protection when buying online.
You have the right to cancel the purchase of goods without having to give a reason at any time within the "cooling off period" of 14 days, beginning on the day you receive the goods.
The goods must be unused, as new condition and in their original packaging. If a cancelled order is returned in a condition that cannot be resold as new, we reserve the right to refuse a refund or reduce the refund amount to cover the reduced resale value of the item.
Whilst in possession of the goods you are under the duty to retain them and take reasonable care of them. You must send the goods back to us at our returns address (address provided at the time of receiving the cancellation notification) at your own cost (unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is damaged or defective) within 7 days of cancelling. Before returning any goods, a Returns Authorisation Authorisation will be issued and email to you.
Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel the contract, any sum debited to us will be refunded to you as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your cancellation.

13.1 Delivery charges are calculated by weight on checkout. If your delivery destination is not shown or the shipping calculation seems excessive, contact our sales office to enable a manual calculation.
13.2 The cost of packing and delivery is shown prior to confirming your Order.
13.3 The risk in the Product shall pass to you on delivery or attempted delivery of the Product.
13.4 We aim to deliver items in stock within 1-5 days. Non stock items requiring importing may take 2 – 3 weeks although a faster UPS import service is often available at a surcharge. If an item is not in stock at the time of ordering, you will be notified and given the option to cancel or proceed with the agreed delivery date. Any item specifically imported on request of a customer, cannot be cancelled.
13.4 We may send your order in multiple packages. We will endeavour to advise you of this by email prior to dispatch.
13.5 All deliveries must be signed for. If we attempt delivery and nobody is available to sign for the package, you will be left a card by the courier and your parcel will be held for 3 working days before being returned
You may collect your package directly from the courier’s premises or arrange to have the parcel delivered on another day.
If your parcel is not collected or delivered after two attempts, and no contact is made by you to the courier, the parcel will be returned. At this point extra shipping will be required to send your parcel again. If you decide to cancel the order at this point, a restocking fee of 20% of the total order value will be deducted from your payment method. Shipping charges are not refundable.
